Openness

Everyone needs to know what’s going on with their case and what they’re paying every step of the way. We don’t use small print to hide anything, its there in clear type, in clear dialogue all the way through.

In the field of mortgage it’s too easy to bamboozle people with jargon, facts and figures. We aim to keep our clients aware and match our dialogue to their needs.

Simplicity

With any financial matter you can get lost with all the choices available and making sure everything is suitable for the clients’ entire life. By offering our clients only information we ensure that they are in complete control of their finances by making the choice themselves.

Fairness

Many companies talk about treating their customers fairly, with ourselves it’s the very reason we exist today. We make sure that every option we present is clear, every part of it on display for the client to see, so at no time can they say they were misled, not treated in a fair manner. With the laws and regulations the mortgage market is being increasingly subject to high scrutiny, Finance Direct aims to keep well ahead of the game.

An Active Industry Participant.

Like all reputable mortgage brokerages Finance Direct is regulated and authorised by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) for its mortgage and general insurance business.  The FSA monitors and actively enforces responsible lending within the market place.

All industries have numerous trade and standards bodies, we at Finance Direct are not interested in the bodies that only offer social events and little else. We look for bodies that will further the industry and make a difference to our business activities and improve the opportunities available to our clients. As such we are proud of our associations with the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries.

Finance Direct is an active member of the Financial Industry Standards Association, FISA, which promotes, enforces a code of consumer lending within the industry. We don’t just have their logo on our advertising material, we actively contribute to the shape of the industry standards.

The actual rate available will depend on your circumstances. Ask for a personal illustration. Think carefully before securing other debts against your home. There will usually be a fee charged when we successfully arrange a mortgage / re-mortgage. The amount will depend on the complexity of your requirements and your personal circumstances, typically the fee charged will be 3% of the mortgage advance (minimum fee £3,000 up to a maximum of £10,000).
